Discovery Park II
Discovery Park will always hold a special place in my heart. I must’ve visited this place a handful of times already, but it never fails to take my breath away. We got a late start in our hike, so by the time we made it to the coast it was golden hour.
In the heart of Discovery Park are the houses that make up Officer’s Row within the Fort Lawton Landmark District. In 2010, these historic homes opened up for civilian housing.
“The Navy formed a partnership with a private company, Forest City, to manage the property as naval families started moving to new housing complexes in the Everett area. Now that the military families have left, the historic homes are now being rented to the general public.”
They’re very beautiful, if eery at times.
