California Day 2: The Grove at Sunset

Today we woke up late (again, as usual, this is nothing new, etc etc) – at around 2PM? Jeez. On our next photo adventure, we picked The Grove and Melrose. I’d been to the Grove before with family, but only to walk through and hang around Barnes n Noble’s. Lex got his haircut before leaving, which looked really good until the auntie at the hair salon made him look like greaser Elvis. HAHAHAHA. She was really nice, but that last minute gellin’….. When we finally made it to the Grove, we caught the sunset in the parking lot and started firing away!
Alternatively, very Bruno Mars-esque.

Walked down to the shopping areas, where there was this gorgeous alleyway that I’d never been to! Ahhhhh!! It was so pretty ;__;

So dreamyyy. I love hanging lights so much ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
out of focus! 🙁
There was a trolley driving around the Grove that I never knew existed, which made this whole area so cute to walk around and take pictures with/in! I wish we’d been able to see it in the daytime as well, but at night maybe it’s even better.
Since we didn’t eat breakfast or lunch, we were starving to eat something delicious and filling. As soon as I walked into the Farmer’s Market, all I could smell (and subsequently think about) was BBQ. Lex showed me Pampas Grill, which was my first experience with Brazillian BBQ (though it’s not AYCE here). It was soo goooooood. *^*
Okay, ngl I felt like a fatty-chan because I got top sirloin, lamb leg, mashed potatoes, caesar salad, 2 slices of garlic bread, and 1 roll of cheese bread while Lex got top sirloin, 1 roll of cheese bread, and rice.
After dinner we walked around more shops, when I spotted this super adorable bakery stand ;___;!!!!! the desserts were way too cute!!!
GREASE LIGHTNIN’

Next we headed to Melrose for starbucks and a quick stop at UO for shoe shopping. Our original intent was to check out Rodeo Drive at night, but I only went there once with Jeanine back at ALA 2013, so we got lost a bit… and ended up at Melrose instead. Haha!

Starbucks had their new Caramel Flan Frappuccino flavor (!!!), so we both got one to try…. and were pretty disappointed. D: It had the weirdest after-taste….
Drove back and stayed up pretty late surfing through reddit, and watching 50 million Ed Bassmaster videos, with the occasional photography video here and there. Good night!
