Today was, in Seattle fashion, rainy, cold, and cloudy. But it was nothing short of warm, wonderful, and full of love. I feel really fortunate to be able to spend a special day with someone who brightens mine, so I tried to document is as best as I could, hehe. Here we are!
Very thankful for having a great makeup and hair day today! ;v;
Every time I sit down, Nibbles is quick to jump onto my lap haha
all ready to gooooo!
Even though Daniel asked me what my favorite flower was (that was physically obtainable in our area, since my favorite flowers are snowdrops), I was still surprised to receive a bouquet of them ;v; I have a huge huge huge soft spot for daisies and baby’s breath.. I’m not sure what the florist was thinking regarding the arrangement, but I won’t complain LOL this made me ridiculously happy.

alsooooo dark chocolate!!! ♥ ♥
We sat in his car for awhile brainstorming places to eat for lunch, throwing out idea after idea — when he suddenly exclaimed that he really wanted to eat Indian food. So we made our way to Saffron Grill over by the Northgate Mall. For years my family and I frequented Cedars as our go-to Indian restaurant (and for my mom, her go-to unlimited chai tea place), and when we found out the owner was opening a new restaurant by Northgate, we followed! Ever feel like you’re grasping at straws for where to eat, and the minute someone suggests something it ends up triggering the perfect place that sets the day off right? That was Saffron Grill for us. And other people too it seemed, because boy was it PACKED. We were super hungry, but all of the wait staff, and the maître d’ especially, were all smiles and made us feel very welcome and accommodating despite the incredibly bustling atmosphere.
We ordered butter chicken, tandoori chicken, and garlic naan! So good ♥ ♥ ♥
the sauces are amazing and I definitely ate it with everything on my plate. LOL
For dessert we ordered mango kulfi, which was perfectly refreshing and light for how much rice and bread we ate haha.
Our next plan was to watch the new Deadpool movie at Northgate’s theater, because we were both in super-food-coma-can’t-walk mode, but the only seats available were in the front row, to the farthest corner.. no thanks… so Daniel took me to Richmond beach instead. 🙂
This dog ran over to us in a tutu and started barking LOL so strange
It kept walking closer, stopped, and barked…
Giving up, it trotted back over to its owners hahaha
The beach was fairly empty — with good reason, because it started raining shortly after we arrived. We headed back to the car and drove over to our final destination for dinner: Pasta Bella. 🙂
It was Daniel’s turn for taking me to a place I’ve never been to, and I’m so happy that he chose Pasta Bella. It’s a small ristorante in Ballard, filled with a cute assortment of paintings, bottles, and beautiful and cozy decor. The place was super packed, so we ended up waiting outside in the chill, night air. 🙂
Seated! I love the christmas lights ahhh!
garlic bread *o*!
Suuuuper delicious pasta – and lots of it!!
We got a very romantic seat LOL! I’m not used to sitting on the same side of the booth, but it was very fun hehehe.
If you’re ever in Ballard looking for a cozy, romantic and lively spot with great food, I really recommend Pasta Bella. 🙂
So ends a beautiful night filled with so much warmth and good food. Thank you again for a wonderful day.
