Flowers blooming before my eyes
The cherry blossoms are here again!! Daniel and I took a trip to the Quad this past weekend.
I dressed up today~
We were both pretty hungry, so we stopped by for some food on the Ave first. ^^ After some wandering around, we decided on U:DON! I’ve been wanting to check this place out, and I’m sooo glad we did.
the Goma Zaru! Cold udon noodles are so yummy.
We also got the Niku Udon! It was pretty nice alternating between hot and cold.
sesame dipping sauce that came with the goma zaru. I looooooved.
After lunch, we headed over to the Quad but already started noticing a bunch of people going the same way. I guess everyone else had the same idea. 🙂
I really liked this bush that was on the side of the road. So uniform. ♡
The entrance to the campus is very misleading at the moment — and the unpredictable weather doesn’t help! My photos might look a little bit odd because it was cloudy most of the time, with a few patches of sun.
The place was absolutely packed, but since the trees are so tall it didn’t really bother me haha!
There are some breaks in the trees where the shadows give a beautiful gradient.
Daniel and I ran around the Quad looking at dogs. I love that so many people bring their pets to the cherry blossom viewings too!
These guys were just puppies and preferred to roll around in the dirt over posing for photos haha!
The sun started coming out here and there, so I tried to capture some shots quickly.
After we roamed around for awhile, we started heading back to the Ave for some bubble tea. On our way, we saw a small shop crowded with people and the smell of wafflecones wafting in the air. We had to stop for ice cream!!
Sweet Alchemy has a lot of unique flavors that made it difficult for us to choose just two!
From their website—
“All our ice cream flavors are produced with real ingredients. Some of the ingredients are locally grown from farms in Washington state. We even use the honey collected from bees that live in the UW campus right here!”
We decided on blueberry lavender and cherry blossom, though london fog and persian rose were top contenders!
I recently bought Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, so we spent the rest of the day playing through Kingdom Hearts I. So nostalgic!
