A Trip to Tulip Town

April showers is quite the understatement for Seattle this year, having broken its rainfall record for the second year in a row. We’ve gotten over 44in of rainfall between October and April! But with the rain comes beautiful, lush greens, and, naturally, gorgeous flowers for viewing.
In the spirit of that, my mom, Liz, and I went to visit Tulip Town for the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival! It was Liz’s first time going, and since we had gone to Roozengaarde last year, we thought it’d be nice to check out Tulip Town instead.
Tulip Town is just a 3 minute drive from Roozengaarde, but it was our first time there as well! While Roozengaarde has more of a garden appeal, Tulip Town is several fields with rows upon rows of tulips.
There are so many different types and colors, so it’s really cool walking down the path and taking everything in.
Unlike last year, it was rainy and cloudy all day. The drive up was especially pouring, but thankfully it was a light drizzle up here.
I personally like taking photos in the rain – all the colors just pop pop pop! I think these ones were the double dreamy pinks.
Innuendos!
They had a slow tractor touring along the wide paths — which looked fun! I love hay tractor rides a lot. Reminds me of elementary school field trips.
It was also super windy, so everyone was bundled up!
in the back you can somewhat make out claudia tulips behind the burgundy ones!
Capri striped tulips
I think these are the double early amazing grace tulips. The rich color was absolutely stunning in person

Liz looking super gorgeous! ‧⁺◟( ᵒ̴̶̷̥́ ·̫ ᵒ̴̶̷̣̥̀ )
Sweet Maries/Maria Christina tulips — these were my favorite. 🙂
My hair was suuuper messed up from the wind, haha!
Some fire wings by the windmill!
Inside the enclosed area were little shops for food, art, and all sorts of knick knacks. You could even buy bouquets too! We got peach and yellow tulips, which looked so cute together – I wish I’d taken a photo of those. ><
Some budding flowers along the path from the parking lot 🙂 so cute!
We got back to the car, had lunch, and headed on home!
