Happy Valentine’s Day!!

Today I decided to dress up and try on a wig that I bought for Yamato Rinko from Ore Monogatarii!! — one of my absolute favorite shoujo series. I’ve been hesitant to do a makeup test with this wig because of how unnatural the fibers look in artificial/day light. Oh well! At least it photographs […]

Cosplay Adjustments: Saber – Haregi ver.

I purchased my Saber cosplay awhile back from 1/3 Delusion, and I love it immensely. The level of detail and work put into the kimono and details were beyond my expectations. It is as close to the figure as I feel I’ll ever get. So today’s post was just a minor adjustment I made in something already exemplary.

Sakuracon: Day 0

After prepping and packing for the con, I met up with my friends for dinner at Pike Place Market! It was super windy, but the setting sun was gorgeous, so we walked around while waiting for our table. Seattle is filled with all sorts of quirky graffiti haha. Chan is always a safe dinner plan, […]

Cosplay Progress: Rin Okumura II

Some progress updates/fixes for my Rin cosplays!! Styled his wig a lot better — it’s less of a sweaty mop! hahaha. I really want to do Rin’s Kyoto Saga arc, so I bought his shirt and sweats today! I wonder if Rin is an Ad*das fan, because that’s where I got both of them haha. […]

Cosplay Progress: Dorothy from Garakowa: Restore the World

It’s been awhile since Sakuracon, but I wanted to write up a masterpost of my Dorothy cosplay that I made while volunteering for ACParadise. The entire process was fairly straight foward, with new challenges in patterning out unique design elements and figuring out how to enable easy, comfortable wear for volunteering in. For starters, here’s […]

Review: Clover Wonder Clips

What a wonderful invention these are. I’ve been seeing wonder clips making its rounds amongst cosplay friends, so I decided to get a box for myself from Amazon to try out.  Typically used for quilting, wonder clips are plastic mini-clips that are intended to keep your fabric in place without the use of pins. These […]

My first serger: the Brother 1034D

I’m SUPER excited to share my latest Big Kid purchase: my first serger!! I’ve been saving up for my first one for awhile now, and it came in the mail two months ago! I’ve been so thrilled to finally be able to work with knits, and especially having clean finishes for all of my costumes/garments!  […]
